REACH will have a remarkable impact on the European market, not only for
chemicals, but for all kinds of products - there is no production without
chemicals involved. To look form a somewhat different than Schörling's point
of view you should look into the documents of the VCI (Verband der
chemischen Industrie - German chemical industry association, Frankfurt):
http://www.vci.de, look for "English documents" on the first page.

These reports are likely to be of value to people
interested in European regulation of chemicals...

REACH: what happened and why?
Inger Schörling, Swedish rapporteur for the
"White Paper" of the European Parliament in 2001
has recently published a book to tell the secrets
of Chemicals Policy in the EU. This guidebook is
helpful to all those interested in the REACH
debate.
