We are working with our Chemistry Department to standardize labelling practices for experimental materials. The biggest challenge we are finding is trying to fit both chemical identification information and warning information onto a label small enough to fit onto experimental vials (we are advised that 1 by 2 inches is an appropriate size). We need some way of indicating the identity of the material, its age, the responsible investigator, and adequate warning information for emergency response and regulatory compliance purposes. I wonder if anyone has already developed something that serves this purpose and could share a graphic representation of what works. Thanks for any help. - Ralph -- Ralph Stuart, CIH Environmental Safety Manager University of Vermont Environmental Safety Facility 667 Spear St. Burlington, VT 05405 rstuart**At_Symbol_Here**uvm.edu fax: (802)656-5407
