About the second question, Mexican rule NOM-018-STPS-2000 does not state where the MSDS should be. It is the same case that OSHA's rule. I think it is a good idea to have a copy of MSDS in a safe place to avoid missing them in case of an emergency. I can find a lot of recommendations for high school labs, but not college science labs. I have information from NFPA, but is there something more? Also, I have a question on MSDS. We have an island of cabinets in the middle of our storeroom and the file with MSDS are part of the island. I was recently told that they need to be kept by the door to the room. Is that true? They are about 12 ft from the door. Thanks for any input. MaryAnn Yaeger MaryAnn Yaeger Supervisor of Laboratory Services and CHO Wesley College, Cannon 8B 120 N.
