Subject: I am looking for assistance for the AICHE student ChemE car
safety program

Hi Folks,

The AICHE will be holding a number of student regional competitions this 
Spring.

The students will be holding a ChemE car competition at that meeting. 
For this competition the students must design, build and operate a small 
vehicle powered by chemical reactions.

We have a well-defined safety program to insure that the students build 
and operate a safe vehicle.  Details on this program can be found on the 
website rules page:  http://www.aiche.org/Students/Conferences/chemecar.aspx

The safety program requires a detailed inspection of each vehicle prior 
to operation at the competition.  The inspectors would also need to 
review and comment on the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) forms completed by 
the students, prior to the competition.  We have also prepared a 
detailed inspectors checklist that will help with the inspections.

We are trying to identify inspectors for this competition and I was 
wondering if you could help, or you are aware of someone that could help.

This is a critical function of this program to insure the safety of the 
students and spectators.

This is an enormously popular competition with a lot of student 
enthusiasm.  I'm sure you would enjoy the competition.

Rocky Mountain:    March 7-9, New Mexico Tech University, Socorro, NM
North Central:         March 28-29, University of Akron, Akron, OH
Mid America:           March 28-29,University of Nebraska, Lincoln, NE
Northeast:        April 4-5,     Massachusetts Institute of
                                                 Technology, Boston, MA
Southern:        April 4-6,     Auburn University, Auburn, AL
Mid-Atlantic:        April 11-13,    Manhattan College, Riverdale, NY
Western:         April 12, University of California, Los Angeles, CA
Pacific Northwest: April 18-20,  Washington State University,
                                                 Pullman, WA
