As we all know, the Internet has had a major impact on how chemists and safety professionals interact professionally. Over the last decade, the American Chemical Society's Division of Chemical Health and Safety has explored a variety of ways to use the Internet to expand its outreach to its membership in addition to more traditional routes. As we enter our 31st year, the CHAS Executive Committee is interested in getting feedback from the membership about the relative value of these methods. To help us with this effort, please go to http://tinyurl.com/chassurvey and take the CHAS members services survey we have assembled there. We expect that the 39 questions in the survey will take about 20 minutes for you to complete. In return for your information and time, everyone who responds to the survey by December 15 will be entered in a drawing for one of four prizes: - one copy of Bretherick's Handbook of Reactive Chemical Hazards, contributed by Elsevier. or - one of three 1-gigabyte iPod shuffles contributed by Midwest Chemical Safety http://www.midwestchemsafety.com/ and WC Environmental http://www.wcenvironmental.com/ The first name drawn will have their choice of which prize they receive, until the copy of Bretherick's is gone. (CHAS Executive Committee members are not eligible for the prize drawing, although their participation in the survey is encouraged.) Let me know if you have any questions about this. Thanks for your interest in DCHAS! - Ralph Ralph Stuart rstuart**At_Symbol_Here**uvm.edu Secretary Division of Chemical Health and Safety American Chemical Society
