Subject: Enviro-Safe=?ISO-8859-1?Q?=AE_?= Liquid-Filled Thermometer

Does anyone have any info on how well these thermometers from VWR work?  Also, how do they hold up in use?  Does the "Non-hazardous, non-toxic, biodegradable liquid" separate in the column?
Thanks in advance,
Sammye
