Consider also that those pesky monthly inspections (think also: fire exting uisher checks) can serve as a drill for the inspector. So if a lab puts so meone on a "fire extinguisher / shower / eyewash rotation" for the quarter, that individual is drilled for those three months on the locations of thos e devices. Kind of a toned down version of rotating membership on a safety / inspection committee.
