Subject: Re: hydrocarbon detector
Are you looking for a permanet installation or a handheld porta
ble. The photoionization hand helds work very well and cost less t
han $2000. They are nonspecific though. Permanent installati
ons use either PID or catalytic bead and are both non-specific and cost
$5000 onup depending upon the number of detector heads and reporting. We have both in several facilities and they work well when regularly
calibrated. The one drawback with the beads is silicones - they d
eteriorate the bead with time.

Hi,
We are looking for a detection system for air quality, specifi
cally hydrocarbons, if present and in what quantity. Does anyone k
now of such a system or where I can find more information?
Thank you! (and my boss thanks you as well!)
