Cornell U niversity has developed an online inspection tool that can be used with any device capable of web browsing.=A0 The system generates autoemails to send the inspection reports, tracks corrective actions, generates summary repor ts, the checklist questions are easily customizable, and the inspection rep ort can be hyperlinked to other supporting resources.=A0 I gave a presentat ion on the system at last year’s CSHEMA conference.

I have been giving demos to some other universities and we ha ve moved ahead with our technology office to license the system for other u niversities who are interested.=A0 The company licensing the inspection too l will be at this year’s CSHEMA conference in MN.

On a separate note, I’ll be giving a =BD day professional development workshop at the upcoming CSHEMA conference on conducting labora tory inspections.

Our department is looking to start automating our inspections/audits and collect data in the field using ipads. I did a web demo for Q5 Systems & thought it was interesting
