When selecting a barcode label material, consider the storage conditions it will be used in. Cold or possible contamination conditions (if leakage occurs) could affect the material. Using pre-printed barcodes helps prevent accidentally using the same barcode a second time.
Years ago, we purchased pre-printed labels with a laminated coating for our chemical library samples. Cost 1c each. They worked well. I’m no longer in that role and I’m afraid I no longer have the vendor info but I’m sure if you google for laminated labels, you’ll come up with something.

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Bar code tool
Hello All,
I am looking for an inexpensive way to generate barcode labels to inventory chemicals.
Does anyone have a recommendation for an easy way to print these labels or a good software you would recommend?
Thank you!
