Kyle,
I agree with your recommendation. I see that Cole Parmer offers a 6 cubic foot model they refer to as an "undercounter" flammable material refrigerator, so that may be a helpful search term. Unfortunately, I have never seen the words "inexpensive" and "flammable material storage refrigerator" used in the same sentence, so I can't offer any advice there. For this application, with small quantities of flammables in play, a conventional cord-and-plug-connected model where the storage compartment is isolated from ignition sources is probably sufficient, as opposed to the even more expensive hazardous location/"explosion proof" model where the exterior is also shielded from ignition sources and the unit has to be hard-wired into a specially constructed junction box/circuit.
Good luck shopping.

We have an area near our new NMR where we will be storing deuterated organic solvents. I have convinced my colleague who is in charge of the NMR that we can't use a simple dorm fridge for storing the small volumes of solvents. But I would love to follow
up with him on any iinfo all of you could provide about inexpensive small (5 cu ft) flammable storage refrigerators or explosion proof fridges.
Grateful for any help,
Kyle Strode
