You are so right, Monona. The question is how to properly approach the public. Lots of anti-science people seem to do it, I. J.
Oh my. That is depressing. Who ever Jyllian Kemley is, she is a saint to keep trying to deal with the general public. Clearly people just make up the scenarios that suit them. And I wonder if they even read the facts Jyllian provides. My experience is they will stick to a good story and reject the truth no matter what saints like Jyllian say.Truth doesn't fit in a twitter post.Monona Rossol, M.S., M.F.A., Industrial HygienistPresident: Arts, Crafts & Theater Safety, Inc.Safety Officer: Local USA829, IATSE181 Thompson St., #23New York, NY 10012 212-777-0062

Subject: [DCHAS-L] Follow up reporting on the Harran settlement
Those who don't follow Jyllian Kemsley's Safety Zone blog at http://cenblog.org/the-safety-zone/ may want to check out a couple of her follow up posts this week on reactions to and myths associated with the case and settlement. She's making a valiant effort to maintain a connection between the twitter-verse and reality. I suspect that similar misconceptions are arising in the lab rumor-verse as well. - Ralph Ralph Stuart secretary**At_Symbol_Here**dchas.org Secretary Division of Chemical Health and Safety American Chemical Society
