Mark,

My “go to” website for information about chemicals and substances has become PubChem.   There is an entry there for bicyclopyrone but it has precious little information compared to the kind of information that one might seek on an SDS.  I conclude from the absence of information that this compound has not been studied at all with regard to health and safety features.  The absence of even MP and BP (and such common information) is striking.  I further suspect, then, that an SDS will have extraordinarily generic (= “essentially useless”) statements about conditions for use and waste disposal as are often included when we don’t know much about a substance.

Thanks, Ben, but no.  I already have that one, and several more like it.  Invariably, a vessel will come in for cleaning that has one component of a mixture like that.  I need the SDS that will best represent that material, in this case, bicyclopyrone.

All,

Does anyone have an updated SDS for Bicyclopyrone (CAS No. 352010-68-5)?  I attempted to retrieve one from American Custom Chemicals Corporation and they wanted me to spend $2,500 to buy 1 gram since they won’t provide it unless you’re a customer.  I’m having a hard time locating it.  Thank you!
