Yes, that's me if I can at all avoid it.  I stopped doing business with Amazon whenever possible the day they pulled the stunt of having their customers go into their local stores, scan the UPC code of a product, and then offering them a discount off that local merchant's price.  In other words, using use a merchant's store (overhead, rent, stock etc.) as a showroom for Amazon to help them cut that merchant's throat: https://www.amiba.net/resources/all-about-amazon/amazon-scan-stores-discount/

Or having had to get a new credit card recently because Amazon started charging a $10.99 "Kindle Unlimited" subscription to it that I did not sign up for (nobody in my family even has a Kindle), and would not cancel the charge because I did not have an Amazon account for them to look up when I called to get an explanation.  This also happened to several acquaintances of mine; read your card statements carefully, folks.

And I won't even get into their practice of selling at zero or negative margins to eliminate competition or the free pass and enormous valuation they get from Wall St for 20 years of making exceedingly small profits from incredibly large volumes (and a current P/E of 315 while at a market cap of $602 B which makes no mathematical or investing sense).

Yes, I know, this list isn't the place for this kind of discussion.  But the question was asked, so I answered.  And I suggest to all that if you want to make a donation to DCHAS you just go ahead and donate directly  or put a bequest in your will instead of funneling your money thru Amazon.  But that's just my personal opinion, of course.
